Terbutryne
Terbutryne is used as an aquatic herbicide for control of algae & submerged vascular plants in waterways, reservoirs & fish ponds. It’s used as marine paint additives for control of free-floating weeds and algae, etc. It’s absorbed by the roots and foliage and acts as an inhibitor of photosynthesis. It’s also a preemergent and postemergent control agent for most grasses and many annual broadleaf weeds in winter wheat, winter barley, sorghum, sugarcane, sunflowers, peas, and potatoes.
IPBC
As a carbamate biocide, IPBC (3-iodo-2-propynyl-N-butyl carbamate) was originally introduced as a mildewcide for paints, but since 1984 it has gained increasing importance in the wooden packaging industry, where it has found a market in the control of sapstaining fungi. In this role, IPBC and other newer, more environmentally benign biocides, such as quaternary ammonium compounds, have largely replaced the environmentally persistent pentachlorophenol (PCP) salts used historically to treat packaging wood against sapstains, moulds and rot fungi. However, its environmental fate is still not known over ten years after its widespread acceptance as an effective PCP substitute.

Identification of Product and Manufacturer: Product: Alcohol Ester-12 Chemical name: 2,2,4-Trimethyl-1,3-pentanediol 1-monoisobutyrate Other names: Texanol(by Eastman); NX795(Perstorp) CAS No: 25265-77-4
DEET
Chemical name: N,N-Diethyl-meta-toluamide, also called DEET or diethyltoluamide, is the most common active ingredient in insect repellents. It is a slightly yellow oil intended to be applied to the skin or to clothing, and provides protection against mosquitoes, ticks, fleas, chiggers, leeches, and many biting insects.
DEG
DEG(Di-Ethylene Glycol) is used in the manufacture of unsaturated polyester resins, polyurethanes, and plasticizers. DEG is used as a building block in organic synthesis, e.g. of morpholine and 1,4-dioxane. It is a solvent for nitrocellulose, resins, dyes, oils, and other organic compounds. It is a humectant for tobacco, cork, printing ink, and glue. It is also a component in brake fluid, lubricants, wallpaper strippers, artificial fog solutions, and heating/cooking fuel. In personal care products (e.g. skin cream and lotions, deodorants), DEG is often replaced by selected diethylene glycol ethers. A dilute solution of diethylene glycol can also be used as a cryoprotectant; however, ethylene glycol is much more commonly used. Most ethylene glycol antifreeze contains a few percent diethylene glycol, present as an inadvertent byproduct of ethylene glycol production.
Denatonium
Denatonium(Denatonium Benzoate), is the most bitter chemical compound known, with bitterness thresholds of 0.05 ppm for the benzoate and 0.01 ppm for the saccharide, dilutions of as little as 10 ppm are unbearably bitter to most humans. It’s used as aversive agents (bitterants) to prevent inappropriate ingestion, i.e. Denatonium is used in denatured alcohol,[4]antifreeze, nail biting preventions, respirator mask fit-testing, animal repellents, liquid soaps, and shampoos.
DMPP
3,4-Dimethylpyrazole phosphate(DMPP), CAS No: 202846-98-6 A new nitrification inhibitor the use on and in solid and liquid fertilizers and slurries 3,4-Dimethylpyrazole phosphate (DMPP) is a new nitrification inhibitor with highly favourable properties. It has been shown to have several distinct advantages compared to the currently used nitrification inhibitors. Application rates of 0.5–1.5 kg/ha are sufficient to achieve optimal nitrification inhibition. DMPP can significantly reduce NO3 – leaching, without being liable to leaching itself. DMPP may reduce N2O emission, apparently without a negative effect on CH4 oxidation of the soil. The use of DMPP-containing fertilizers can improve yield. This offers the possibility of saving mineral fertilizer N, reducing the number of N-application rounds, and obtaining higher crop yields with current fertilizer-N rates. It reduces activity of ammonia oxidizers without adverse effects on non-target soil microorganisms and functions. Advantages:
MEG
Mono-Ethylene Glycol(MEG) is mainly used for making polyester fiber, polyester resin, dehumidifying agents, plasticizers, surfactants, synthetic fibers; Can be used as a dye/ink solvent, it also can be used as antifreeze in agrochemical SC formulation.
NBPT
N-[n-butyl] thiophosphoric triamide (NBPT), CAS No. 94317-64-3 NBPT, an urease inhibitor which can reduce nitrogen loss by ammonia volatilisation from urea, is used as a fertiliser additive in agricultural applications. It prevents and suppress over a certain period of time the transformation of amide-N in urea to ammonium hydroxide and ammonium through the hydrolytic action of the enzyme urease. By slowing down the rates at which urea is hydrolyzed in the soil, volatilization losses of amnonia to the air(as well as further leaching losses of nitrates) is either reduced or avoided. Thus the efficiency of urea and of N fertilizers containing urea(e.g. urea ammonium nitrate solution), is increased and any adverse environmental impact from their use is decreased. NBPT could be used as feeding additive application also. Advantages of NBPT: 1) NBPT significantly reduce volatilization losses of ammonia resulting in an increase in plant-available soil N, this may result in the formation of more basic amino acids, so-called “secondary messengers” 2) NBPT can control ammonia losses from urine and excreta patches and dairy shed effluents, which is most important in countries with large areas of grazed pastures. 3) NBPT significantly improves N-use efficiency from amide-N 4) NBPT eliminate the adverse effects of urea fertilizers on seed germination and seedling when seed-placed levels of urea/urea-containing fertilizers are too large. 5) NBPT decreases the emission of nitrogen oxides and nitrous oxides. 6) For the farmer, NBPT can be used with current or simplified equipment, which may save capital investment, in addition they offer more options for the timing of N applications and for conservation tillage programs.
PBO
PBO(Piperonyl butoxide) is used as a component of pesticide formulations. It is a waxy white solid. It is a synergist. That is, despite having no pesticidal activity of its own, it enhances the potency of certain pesticides such as carbamates, pyrethrins, pyrethroids, and rotenone. PBO is mainly used in combination with insecticides, such as natural pyrethrins or synthetic pyrethroids, in ratios (PBO: pyrethrins) ranging from 3:1 to 20:1. It is suitable for pre-harvest and post-harvest application to a wide variety of crops and commodities, including grain, fruits and vegetables. The application rates are low; the highest single rate is 0.5 lbs PBO/acre. It is also used extensively as an ingredient with insecticides to control insect pests in and around the home, in food handling establishments such as restaurants as well as for human and veterinary applications against ectoparasites (head lice, ticks, fleas). A wide variety of water-based PBO-containing products such as crack and crevice sprays, total release foggers, and flying insect sprays are produced for home use. PBO has an important public health role as a synergist used in pyrethrins and pyrethroid formulations used for mosquito control (e.g. space sprays, surface sprays and bed nets). Because of its limited, if any, insecticidal properties, PBO is never used alone.
